1 cubic meter of natural gas may seem small, but it contains huge energy. For example, the calorific value of 1 cubic meter of natural gas is about 8000 kcal to 8500 kcal, while the calorific value of 1 kcal is only 860 kcal. To put it more intuitively, the boiling temperature of water is 100℃, and the temperature of raw water is 10℃. 1 cubic meter of natural gas can boil about 95L of water, while 1 kcal can only boil about 9.5L. The amount of water boiled by 1 cubic meter of natural gas is nearly 10 times that of 1 kcal.
Natural gas not only has huge energy, but also is cheap.
So what else can 1 cubic meter of natural gas do?
The calorific value of coal is 7110-7350 kcal, 1 cubic meter of natural gas is equivalent to 1.2kg of coal, and it is clean and residue-free after burning. Under normal circumstances, a family of three can use 1 cubic meter of natural gas for 1-2 days for daily cooking. 1 cubic meter of natural gas can boil 25 eggs. One cubic meter of natural gas can power a three-box family car for approximately 10 to 12 kilometers.
