Effects of biogas slurry on soil

The effects of biogas slurry on soil can be roughly divided into three aspects: improvement effect, fertilizer effect, and bactericidal effect.

Biogas slurry has a good improvement effect on the physical and chemical properties of soil

Biogas slurry contains a large amount of organic matter, which can increase the number of soil aggregates, improve soil structure, reduce soil bulk density, and increase soil water retention. Its pH varies depending on the fermentation product, but it is mainly distributed in the neutral range. Therefore, it can play a good role in adjusting the pH of over-acidic and over-alkaline soils. Reduce soil compaction and acidification caused by long-term use of chemical fertilizers.

Biogas slurry can increase the nutrient content of soil

Biogas slurry contains a large amount of fertilizer nutrients, which can help reduce the use of chemical fertilizers. Long-term use of biogas slurry to irrigate the soil can greatly improve the nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium content of the soil, achieving the purpose of land cultivation. The use of biogas slurry can increase the enzyme activity in the soil, thereby affecting the supply level of nitrogen and phosphorus nutrients in the soil. It can increase the number of microorganisms in the soil.

Bactericidal effect of biogas slurry on soil

Biogas slurry has a significant therapeutic effect on powdery mildew and root rot of Astragalus. It can be used by soaking seeds, irrigating roots, and spraying on leaves. Soaking seeds can promote seed germination, increase seed survival rate and crop growth. The organic acids and plant growth hormones it contains can have a good antibacterial and insect-resistant effect. For example, Fusarium oxysporum in watermelon soil, tomato gray mold, early blight, etc.
