If we often use diesel generator sets outdoors, then in winter we need to pay more attention to the changes in local temperature. If the ambient temperature is lower than 4℃, we should drain the cooling water in the cooling water tank of the diesel generator set to ensure that the cooling water will not be damaged by solidification.
When we start the diesel generator set in winter, we need to preheat the generator set in advance and start slowly. Because the temperature of the air inhaled in the cylinder is relatively low, it is difficult for the piston to reach the temperature of diesel self-ignition after compressing the gas. Therefore, after starting, it should be run at a low speed for 3-5 minutes. After the overall efficiency of the diesel generator set is improved, check the lubricating oil again. If there is no problem, it can run normally.
In addition, we should change the air filter frequently in winter. Because the wind is relatively strong in winter, there are relatively more impurities in the air. Frequently change the air filter to reduce the impurities entering the cylinder, thereby extending the service life of the diesel generator set.
Selection of lubricating oil In winter, low-freezing-point oil should be used. When starting, the oil temperature can be increased by using an external water bath.
Make preheating preparations before starting the diesel generator set, such as using a water jacket heater and a space heater, to reduce the rapid fluctuation of the machine from low temperature to high temperature and reduce the wear of the generator set accessories.
