After 53 Years Of Wandering in Space, The Soviet Union's Cosmos-482 Probe Crashed Into The Indian Ocean

According to Russian News Agency on the 10th, the "Cosmos-482" automatic probe launched by the Soviet Union in March 1972 has recently fallen into the Indian Ocean west of Jakarta.

The probe was originally planned to fly to Venus, but due to a booster failure, it failed to leave the Earth's orbit. As time went on, the probe's altitude became lower and lower, and finally fell back into the atmosphere.

The device is about one meter in diameter and weighs less than 500 kilograms.
