According to the website of the Colombian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on the 11th, senior officials from the EU and Colombia held the second high-level dialogue on environment and climate to discuss common priorities such as sustainable development, carbon markets and carbon pricing, climate neutrality and climate financing.
The two sides reached a consensus on cooperation such as accelerating energy transformation, responding to climate change challenges, strengthening cooperation on the green agenda, and protecting biodiversity. They reiterated their firm support for the Paris Agreement's goal of limiting global warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius, and were willing to include climate cooperation in the agenda of the EU-CELAC Summit to be held in Colombia in the fourth quarter of 2025.
