According to a recent report by Ke News Agency, agriculture in Ke is facing severe challenges in 2025. Due to weak domestic productivity, Croatia's dependence on agricultural imports has further deepened, leading to a continued expansion of the trade deficit.
Local farmers have expressed deep concerns about the implementation of the European Union's Common Agricultural Policy (CAP). The complex administrative procedures and strict green transformation standards put small farms at a disadvantage in obtaining subsidies. Despite the government's promise to increase budget support, the continuously rising production costs (such as fertilizers and energy) have seriously eroded industry profits. Analysis indicates that without accelerating agricultural modernization reform, Ke will become increasingly vulnerable to external market fluctuations.
