Kyrgyzstan Issues Temporary Ban On Cattle, Horses And Sheep Exports

Astana, August 21 (China News Service) - According to Kyrgyzstan's Kabar State News Agency, the Kyrgyz government issued a temporary ban on August 21st, restricting the export of cattle, horses, and sheep for six months. This measure is intended to ensure food security and stabilize food market prices.

 

The ban does not apply to livestock transiting through the country, horses participating in international events, or horses given as gifts to foreign countries, international organizations, or individuals. The ban also requires various government departments to take measures to prevent the illegal export of livestock.

 

The ban is effective from the date of its publication.
