According to the Finnish Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment's website on December 4th, the Finnish government submitted its National Energy and Climate Strategy report to Parliament on the same day, aiming to accelerate the clean transition, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and strengthen carbon sinks.
Minister of Environment and Climate, Murtala, stated that this is a key strategy to solidify Finland's position as a clean energy pioneer in Europe. The strategy aims to create a predictable operating environment, ensure an affordable supply of clean energy, support Finland's clean economic development, and avoid increasing daily costs for citizens or weakening the competitiveness of businesses, with a focus on achieving the EU's 2030 climate and energy targets.
