Characteristics of SCR catalyst
architectural design
The honeycomb structure has parallel channels arranged in a regular way, large specific surface area (usually up to 300-800 m²/m³), high gas diffusion efficiency, and conducive to improving the reactivity.
Coating process
The active components (such as V2O₅,WO3) are loaded on the surface of porous ceramic or metal carrier in the form of coating. The utilization rate of active substances is high, and the performance can be optimized by adjusting the thickness of coating.
Mechanical strength and corrosion resistance
The carrier is mostly cordierite (ceramic) or special alloy (metal based), which can withstand high temperature (300-450℃), wear resistance and adapt to the environment of high dust and smoke.
Anti-toxin ability
The anti-sulfur and anti-arsenic properties are improved by doping additives (such as TiO₂) to prolong the service life.
Classification of DeNox catalyst
By carrier material:
Ceramic base: cordierite is the main, low cost, high temperature resistant, suitable for fixed equipment.
Metal matrix: special stainless steel or titanium alloy, high mechanical strength, suitable for high vibration or compact space.
By active component:
Vanadium-based catalyst (V₂O₅-WO₃/TiO₂): mainstream type, excellent activity at medium temperature.
Molecular sieve catalysts (such as Fe and Cu molecular sieves): emerging direction, suitable for low temperature or specific environmental requirements.
By pore density:
Common pore ranges from 30 to 50 cpsi (pores per square inch). High pore density (e.g., 60 cpsi) increases the specific surface area but increases the pressure drop, which needs to be weighed according to flue gas characteristics.
