Indonesia's Rapota Power Plant Unit 9 Completes 168 Hours Of Trial Operation

On December 6, the 168-hour trial operation of Unit 9 of the Indonesian Lapota Power Plant, undertaken by China Energy Construction Group, was successfully completed, achieving another important milestone in the construction of the project. Since then, the "double launch" goal of Units 8 and 9 of the project has been successfully completed within the year, and all three units undertaken by the Construction Group have been put into production.

During the 168-hour trial operation of Unit 9, the maximum power load of the steam turbine generator set was 380,000 kWh, the minimum load was 288,000 kWh, and the average load was 350,000 kWh. The total cumulative power generation of the unit during continuous operation was 59.0238 million kWh, the comprehensive power consumption rate of the unit was 5.90%, and the various systems of the unit operated stably, and all indicators met the design and specification requirements.

The project is located in the Morowali Industrial Park in central Sulawesi, Indonesia. It is one of the key projects for the joint construction of the "Belt and Road" initiative in Indonesia. The Construction Group is responsible for the construction of three 380-megawatt generators, Units 7, 8, and 9. After the project is completed, it will be able to effectively guarantee local industrial electricity and promote local economic development.
