"Electrical efficiency is the 'soul indicator' of gas generator sets. It indicates how much of the gas burned by the unit is actually turned into electricity, rather than being wasted in the end." Researcher Zhao Erlan said that electrical efficiency represents the effective proportion of the unit converting the heat energy generated by gas combustion into electrical energy. It is the key to measuring the performance of the unit and is directly related to the economy, environmental protection, sustainability and safety of the product.
"Electrical efficiency of 40% has always been the industry threshold for non-road high-power gas power generation products. There are very few products in the industry that can break this indicator." Zhao Erlan said.
"Compared with the previous 190 gas engine products, the 200 series has a larger cylinder diameter and stroke, and the power has exceeded 2 megawatts, and the electrical efficiency index must also "keep up."
Zhao Erlan said that in order to further create a competitive gas power generation "weapon", the company focused on key indicators and continued to tackle key problems. It has carried out a series of design optimization and technological innovations in the combustion organization, valve timing, intake and exhaust system and supercharging matching of the L20V200 high-power natural gas engine, and promoted the product electrical efficiency from 38% to 42%, reaching the international advanced level.
