Nepal Officially Implements Euro VI Emission Standards

Nepal News Network reported on June 26 that the Ministry of Forests and Environment of Nepal stated in the Nepal Gazette today that after years of discussion and several postponements, the Nepali government's "Nepal Vehicle Emission Standards 2025" officially came into effect. The "Standards" have stricter requirements for vehicle emissions, which means that Nepal has officially implemented the Euro VI (Euro-6) emission standards.

The ministry introduced the details of the new standards, such as two-wheeled and three-wheeled vehicles will be subject to the Euro V standard, and four-wheeled and above vehicles must comply with the Euro VI testing and emission protocols.
