The 10th BRICS Energy Ministers' Meeting

On May 19, the 10th BRICS Energy Ministers' Meeting was held in Brasilia, the capital of Brazil. The meeting was hosted by the Brazilian Ministry of Mines and Energy, and mainly focused on energy security, energy transformation, energy accessibility and other topics. Ren Jingdong, deputy director of the National Energy Administration of China, attended the meeting and delivered a speech.

China pointed out that China attaches great importance to energy cooperation with member countries under the BRICS framework, and is committed to strengthening policy docking, technical exchanges and project cooperation with relevant countries through the BRICS energy cooperation platform. In recent years, China and BRICS countries have made remarkable progress in cooperation in the field of energy. Traditional energy fields such as oil, natural gas and coal have been increasingly consolidated, and emerging fields such as renewable energy, hydrogen energy, energy storage and carbon market have been continuously expanded.

The current global energy landscape is undergoing profound changes, and the importance of issues such as energy transformation and energy security has become increasingly prominent. China is willing to strengthen communication and exchanges with member countries under the BRICS energy cooperation mechanism, and jointly make positive contributions to building a fair, just, clean and efficient international energy governance system.
